The Definite Guide to Abc 255 Form

Find out How to Write Down the Abc 255 Form

in today's video on old tech I want to.share with you this book that was given.to me by one of my ham radio friends and.YouTube subscribers called the ABC of.electricity and what's really.interesting about this book and those of.thought very thick is what it was.published and what it contains and.certainly even what it doesn't this book.was actually published in 1889 so to.think about what existed in terms of.technology for electricity in 1889 and.certainly what didn't so it's a fun to.take a look at what's in here and how.its presented one of the more.interesting things right as the.beginning of the book is this.endorsement that reads a dear sir I have.read the manuscript of your ABC of.electricity and find the statements you.have made therein are correct your.treatment of the subject and arrangement.of the matter have impressed me.favorably so it's really interesting is.this endorsement was given by none other.than Thomas Edison you can see from the.laboratory of Thomas a Edison September.4th 1888.if we think about the state of.electricity in 1889 kind of exemplified.here by the second paragraph of the book.talks about the Telegraph the telephone.the electric light electric motors on.streetcars and electric bills etc there.wasn't a whole lot more to it in the.late 1800s so imagine the book is not.very thick so it's interesting to take a.look at how the material is presented.now of course Ohm's law was introduced.in 1826 so the concept of the Volt the.ampere in the ohm were well known in.terms of describing electrical.properties and principles however this.book was published a couple years before.Lorentz published her theory on electron.theory so it really wasn't known that.the current flow is really the flow of.electric electrons so they're just an.interesting to see how things are.presented here in fact this book.presents the concepts of the Volt the.amp here in the ohm using the typical a.water analogy which a lot of people use.today where water pressure is kind of.equivalent to to the Volt and how much.push you've got in terms of pushing.current the.is essentially the flow of the water.okay in the ampere there and then the.resistance would be the diameter of the.types for example so that would house a.whole concept of you know both current.and resistance are presented in this.book now the relationship between.electricity and magnetism is also.presented because that was fairly well.known in terms of how electricity can be.produced by using magnetism and.magnetism can be produced with.electricity for things like.electromagnets and that kind of a thing.of course then all of that led to a lot.of the early development for electricity.and some of the early applications now.the first one of those is the Telegraph.first the Telegraph back in late 1800s.consisted a typical Morse code key and a.sounder we didn't get the familiar beep.beep beeps that we hear on the radio.today but it was more of the clicking of.a founder and just consisted of.essentially a DC circuit pulling on.electromagnet to create a sound with.effectively a solenoid now what's really.interesting is that the Morse code that.is presented here in the book is not the.same version of Morse code that is.commonly used today around the world.with a Morse code that's used around the.world today is called international.Morse although this Morse code here is.actually known as Moore's landline code.or also known as American Morse many of.the letters are the same like a and B.are the same as they are in.international Morse but like the letter.C and several others here o are not the.same as that are used today in an.internet international Morse look book.goes on to describe the telephone at an.abduction coil and how that's used to.create essentially a speaker I talks.about a vibrating diaphragm and then.talks about some of the microphone type.of technologies early one called a stone.Profoto motor I'm not sure back to the.way it was actually pronounced but then.talks about the carbon button microphone.element and how all this kind of came to.came together to create the telephone.interesting quote from the beginning of.the chapter on the telephone here is.that you know not only can we talk to a.person who is in a different part of the.city but such great improvements have.been made in these instruments that we.can now talk through the telephone to a.person in another city even though it.might be hundreds miles away so the next.part of the book deals with the electric.light and deals with essentially just.two different types of lights arc lights.and incandescent lights and talks about.the the arc lamps and how some of those.were very bright typically used in.things like street signs and that kind.of a thing but at a relatively short.life some of them only eight to ten.hours or so and then talks about the.incandescent bulb and how that typically.is used in turn uh you know inside and.things like that but also talks about.the problem of power generation because.you know while the telephone and the.telegraph are low power devices that.were typically powered by batteries the.electric lights consumed a lot more.power so we needed a different way of.generating power then it introduces the.concept of a dynamo or Dyna motor which.is used for essentially a power.generation for a power grid so talks.about the development of these Dyna.motors to actually create the.electricity for use for primarily.electric lighting it even presents the.concept here of serious connections and.the limitations imposed by serious.connections for electric lighting in.that you need a very large voltage from.the Dynamo to make that happen versus.running essentially in multiple arc.which is essentially the parallel.connection of lighting across the power.grid next is a couple of pages on.electric power in the form of electric.motors for doing things like operating a.sewing machine or railway train that.type of a thing it just presents the.basic concepts of electric motors.and using magnetism and electricity and.to essentially create rotating machinery.so next we present the baton on the.different types of batteries primary.batteries producing essentially DC.current I will call talked about the.lock launch battery the law battery and.certainly these battery technologies.that are certainly far removed from what.we use today but these are this is what.was common back in the late 1800s it.does actually talk a little bit about.batteries used for electric lighting.connecting batteries multiple batteries.in parallel and in series and and what.happens when you do both of that and it.also talks about secondary or storage.batteries or what we know today is.rechargeable batteries and that's it.that's kind of the extent of electrical.technology from 1889 so a pretty.interesting little book they priced at.50 Cent's let's say 50 Cent's back in.1889 dollars see that was probably a.better part of a day's wage I would.think so anyway but this is an.interesting little book I think I might.wind up actually donating this to as an.Edison Museum not far from where I live.here in New Jersey at the Edison tower.and they've got a small museum there I.thought maybe especially given the.endorsement by Thomas Edison they might.like having this book in their.collection anyway I hope you enjoyed.this short little video not really a.vintage tech so much but just a look at.the state of Technology you know nearly.a hundred and thirty years ago thanks.again for watching if you liked what you.saw give me a thumbs up if you haven't.subscribed already please do so I will.look for you again next time take care.

Do military members have to pay any fee for leave or fiancee forms?

Only a military member can apply for their own leave - no one else can apply in their stead. If a military member is requiring payment from another member in order to process paperwork of any kind, you should find out their name and report them to their service's Inspector General for bribery. When deployed, members rarely get leave. For example, when my battalion was stationed in Afghanistan and Africa, we did not allow members to take leave or fly back to America unless they were separating from the military or a parent, spouse, child, or siblings died. If they did get to return, the governmen Continue Reading

I was selected for a summer internship 2016. I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join. I even was very open in the location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience). Do a search on the potential team. Before the interviews, try to find smart question that you are Continue Reading

How did the ABC store get its name?

Though it can depend on the celebrity. One day I was in my supermarket checkout line and Mr. T was behind me. I really couldn’t ignore him, so I said, “How ya doin’, Mr. T?” He put his arm around my shoulder and replied, “Wonderful, brother!” We had a lovely chat and I helped him empty his cart (he was still a bit weak from the chemo he’d been receiving). I told him I wanted the first copy of his autobiography signed, and he said, “You got it, brother!” Proving that that whole B.A. act was just that—an act. ETA: Holy cow! Over 2500 upvotes! I’m sure Mr. T would be pleased.
