Reduced Fare Metrocard Nyc Form: Draft, Finish and forward

welcome to this informational video on.the channel this is kevin from mt AG as.you can see here guys uh this is pretty.much the mail in which i receive.regarding the fair fares MetroCard as.you can see here we had to enhance the.bigger envelope that you see over here.is pretty much more of an informational.thing that came from the fair for his.program will pretty much comes in there.as like you know uh frequent frequently.asked questions some things they have to.look out like restrictions and the.policies that are pretty much in charge.of you know the fares programs and so.basically over here and this postcard.that you see over here is an example of.what you would get when let's say you.actually would qualify for the fair.first MetroCard so for example so let's.say you already there all the process.you know you enrolled in all that once.you know you wait for it to come by now.you're basically going to be getting two.different things one which is this huge.postcard that you see over here from the.ferris program as you can see over here.so the address of that is located in.Church Street Station New York New York.and of course does it quote and then.over here is the same thing but like I.said guys in this actual postcard they.will not only have a letter of.confirmation telling you you got it.but as well as the MetroCard and is also.feature for a fare basically over here.we did open up a postcard and so when.you open it up you're basically gonna be.seeing not only a confirmation letter.seeing that you did actually get it.there you can see that's my full name if.we open up this postcard this letter if.you will so this is what.so basically say so it's gonna say your.new fair fair is new city metro card has.arrived so what I did work there was.basically just focus it so now it looks.a little better.um and you can see I covered up stuff is.for privacy so it says dear you know.Kevin blah blah.to the fair for his new city program.with your new fare for a new city.MetroCard it you can ride the subway and.most buses for half price your fare for.his new city MetroCard is attached so.there says if you have any questions.please visit the new york city log of.slash for affairs or call 3-1-1 so the.catch is this I already took off the.MetroCard so let's say in this case you.were to recently open it and so that you.can see that it came so the MetroCard.would pretty much be attached over here.so once you open it up you will see it.that it's there the reason why it's not.there is because obviously I took it off.and this is how it actually looks like.so I thought it was honestly gonna look.different compared to what is a standard.MetroCard because for example I actually.do have in this case a standard enricher.card so this is how a standard MetroCard.basically looks if you turn it around of.course it'll always give you that that.typical stuff don't take the risk take.the next train bla bla but surprisingly.so this right here guys this is actually.how fair is an extra car would look like.I thought the design was gonna look but.a bit more different compared to the.standard one but in this case it looks.like in regards to how they designed it.it pretty much looks the same so as we.turn it around as we turn it around.there it says for MetroCard questions.call 3-1-1 accepted on subway local bus.select bus service at Staten Island.Railway so here you can see the logo of.FF New York City and MTA.however there is a catch to this as you.see there it says not valid on express.buses such as nice Westchester beeline.and as well as the Hudson grill so it.says non-transferable so a good question.is this so if I can't use this for you.know to go a nice bus which MetroCard or.it could it doesn't have to be an I.suppose it could be the B Line bus and.as well as the Hudson rail so a good.question would be so if I can't use this.to go on you know those type of bus.lines what could you use well of course.you can use the standard one so if you.were to use a standard MetroCard like.this of course you can use it.practically everywhere even in the.Express bus lines in Long Island and of.course Westchester.so that's basically how the metric car.looks it looks just the same I thought.it was gonna look a bit a bit more.different like you know pretty much like.a design I don't know I thought they.were going to paint it differently but.as you can see here that's how it looks.now there's gonna be some stuff that.will be coming up regarding information.but for those that should know right now.how do you know that you actually have.the FF metro card is if you see this.over here so this is the logo of the.actual program once again they are fairs.in New York City so once you get it.you'll know that you got it once you see.this logo over here which you guys.should get it more than likely and I.would say right now it would be kind of.weird if you were to get like like a.fake one in this case but this is how it.looks once again and like I said since I.sign up using you know the CUNY program.that is how I actually got it so up next.I'll pretty much show you pretty much.some documentation that came with this.mix with this note so over here they.give you pretty much like a like an.informational standpoint of how.everything works so if you open it up so.for this one this is for English and.then over here this is pretty much the.same thing the same conformation but the.only thing is over here this is for the.Spanish section so for those that you.know that speak Spanish then you know.you will rather open up to that specific.section because they actually have two.different documentation one for English.and in Spanish so I did say there write.that in one of the sections they.actually have it in a different language.because the majority of course also.speaks Spanish to whoever lives in New.York City so Derek says frequently asked.questions about the program what is fair.is New York City fair fairs in New York.City is a city program created by the.mayor council speaker and members of the.City Council to help New Yorkers and.with low incomes manage your.transportation costs using the fair.phrase near City metro card.New Yorker city residents right for half.the regular consult here's one fantastic.news that you guys should know already.so what the power of this fair fares.MetroCard for those that actually get it.or have fantastic news so first of all.you'll get a discount for monthly.unlimited weekly unlimited and even for.a single ride so as you guys know the.single ride is 275 for those you know.that paid regularly without any.discounts however for those that are.qualified for this program I have.fantastic news and that is if you get.this MetroCard and let's say for example.you fill up six dollars on the MetroCard.the thing that you guys should look at.right now is that a one-way using this.MetroCard is only 135 so that's.absolutely stunning so with a price of.almost like one swipe of a metro card.you get to using this because if you do.the math 135 and 135 that will be almost.270 so that's even less than the actual.swipe a regular swipe of a MetroCard so.if you want to refill this MetroCard.that you see here with three dollars in.a MetroCard vending machine and you'll.get not only one right but two right so.that's fantastic so that's just.something that I wanted to let you guys.know so here it says how does the.program work reference New York City.allows you to receive a 50% discount on.subway and eligible bus fares if you are.eligible for fair fares in New York City.the city will give you a special fair.fares New York City metro card the FFM.you'll receive will not have any money.on it so there says you must add time or.value to your MetroCard once you receive.it so that's one thing that you guys.should do so for those once again let's.say you're qualified for it and let's.say once you get the metro card way guys.should do is immediately put money on it.whether it's adding time or actual money.onto the actual card itself there it.says when you add to your fare fares in.your city metro card you'll be charged.half the current price for the would.limit for the unlimited weekly or.monthly option so I guess what they're.saying over here is like an example so.they're says when you add value.you will add the amount you choose clear.card and the turnstile will the duck.have two current bear this means if you.add four dollars to your FFM you will.have the whole $40 on your FFM but each.time you swipe your card you will only.be charged half the current price for a.single ride which is basically what I.said so there it says you can cash at.subway station booths and cash debit or.credit card or your EBT card at your.vending machines to add time and value.so the last thing that it says there it.says the mca vending machines are.located in subway stations throughout.the city of course and then this is.pretty much most importantly the most.important part and that is who is.eligible so there says fair fares new.york city is being rolled out to near.city residents in several phases at this.time certain existing clients of the New.York City Department of Social Services.including receiving snap and/or cash.assistance have been selected to.participate in the fall certain CUNY.students veteran students and NYC a.chase residents who meet the program's.eligibility criteria will be able to.participate in the program so this is.pretty much on the backhand side of the.frequently asked questions section of.the documentation so there it says can I.apply to participate in a program so.there says there in the current phase of.the program the city will be contacting.eligible New Yorkers directly eligible.New Yorkers will be able to apply to.participate starting in January 2020 so.that what you see here guys is pretty.much the month in which they will you.know restart with the application so.specifically when would you want to.apply for this it'll be on January 27 of.this month and then there it says how do.you how do I find out if I am eligible.you will receive a letter from fair.prayers in New York City if you are.eligible if you are the head of your HRA.case you can also log into the access.HRA to access more information and then.from there it says you will be able to.see the eligibility status for each.household number and the access HRE page.so the sixth question says I'm currently.participating in the Mt.disability or senior discount MetroCard.program am I still eligible for fare.first no as you see there no you are not.eligible for fare Fresno City if you are.participating or eligible to participate.in MTA discount fare programs the.seventh question says does my.immigration status affect my ability to.participate in program there's as faras.New York City will not ask about your.status or record any information how do.I find out about changes to the status.your how your households access HRA.account will have the status of it and.give the reasons for any changes in the.status and you can also call 3-1-1 and.then here we have a couple more there it.says enrolling and receiving your.favorite City MetroCard if I am eligible.how do I get my fare fares MetroCard so.then it says login in to access HRA at.New York City Gulf airfare is a website.to enroll into the program so one thing.that you want to do is if you visit this.website you want to create an account.with access HRA as it stays here each.eligible person must independently.choose to participate in the program and.agree to the conditions of use but.remember one thing that you want to do.with this most importantly is read it.and then there it says no one can enroll.on someone else's behalf because if you.do that that could be illegal.after you have opted into the program.you will receive your fare Chris near.Citi MasterCard by mail and by the way.how long does this take.I would say right now let's see it would.think about like two weeks and a half.for it to come so like what they say two.to three weeks I don't have an access.HRA account huh can I still sign up for.it and then it says yes your letter.contains instructions on how to create.that account and then it says if you.have if I am having trouble how can I.still access help so there says you.could send an email to access HR a help.desk at HR 8 dot New York City gov.otherwise call 3-1-1 for assistance all.right so this is the other page now and.I pretty much already answered this.question by.answering one of the other ones that.were featured within this documentation.so there says I signed up.for a fair price in York City but I have.not gotten my fare for his new city.MetroCard in the mill what should I do.you'll receive your measure card within.two to three weeks after you sign up for.the program if it has been more than.three weeks since you signed up and you.have not received your fare for his.MetroCard please call 3-1-1 for more.instructions so what I'll do to make it.much more easier is I'll pretty much use.one of the Pens that I have over here so.there it says how do I update my Idris.you shall log in to your account access.HRE so I'll update that address so that.it says I went to a fare for his new.city location but the office is closed.who can help me by calling three one one.I want a near City metro card but I have.a hard time with computers and.technology how do I sign up you may go.to the fair first New York City office.or call 3-1-1 and let them know so all.these questions that you see here are.basically you know questions that could.pretty much be axed by anyone so.basically saying if you have trouble.with any of these that you see here it.is recommended to call this number three.one one which is pretty much like a.voice prompted phone number which she.calls which is pretty much from the from.the city and they'll be able to answer.your questions there so here's another.important part to look at there says.using your fare fares in here city metro.card can a member of your family or a.friend use that metro card no the card.is only for your personal use.you cannot lend the car to anyone or.sell it mind you if you do something.like that that will be considered.illegal and you could be in big trouble.if you do something like that so that.says can I use my fare firs New York.City metro card on all public.transportation systems so there says you.can use your favors New York City metro.card on New York City subways and buses.you cannot use it on the Express busses.nor the Long Island Rail Road nor Metro.North.can I look valiant I'm on my metro card.at the same time let me read that again.can I load value well this okay so.that's good so there says yes you can.add value and time on your MetroCard at.the same time the bus fare box or subway.turnstile will use the unlimited rise.first so there says once the seven day.or thirty day on there.period ends the fair the bus fare box or.the turnstile of the subway will start.deducting half fare if there is value on.your card so this is the last section.for the frequent tax questions for in.this documentation for a fare for his.program so there it says what happens if.I receive a notice that my MetroCard was.deactivated due to misuse or fraudulent.activity so there says clients whose.cars are deactivated due to misuse or.fraud or at risk of losing eligibility.for near city for fares New York City.after the first instance of misuse or.fraudulent activity your mesh car will.be deactivated and you will lose.eligibility for the fare first program.for sixty days after the second instance.of misuse or fraudulent activity your.MetroCard will be deactivated and you.will be permanently disqualified from.participating in the program you are.responsible for the use of your fare.firs New York City metro card and must.report a lost or stolen card of a way to.avoid a loss and eligibility over here.it says what do I do if my favorite is.New City metro card is lost or stolen.you could call 3-1-1 to report it and.then this information will be sent in.near city transit which is part of the.MCA and then near city transit on their.behalf will cancel the card and I pretty.much already mentioned this part where.it says you will receive well I didn't.because this scenario will happen let's.say for example you were to actually.report that loss or solo mission card so.I guess once you do it the day of then.it'll tell you okay then you will.receive your replacement within two to.three weeks so I believe this is now the.last question so there's this how do I.request a refund if my card was lost or.stolen after he call 3-1-1 to report.your card lost or stolen he was.contacting you see transit by calling.five one one to request a refund for.your lost or stolen card this will begin.the refund process for any days left on.a card only 30-day unlimited fare for as.Metro cards purchased with a debit.credit or EBT card are eligible for a.refund so guys I believe this should be.really important for those that are.a potential situation like this if you.guys were to experience this so there it.says we could measure cars that are.purchased with a debit credit or EBT.card are eligible for a refund.only if you purchased it using a debit.credit or EBT card so if let's say for.example he were to buy this actual card.with cash then it won't be eligible for.a refund unless what he could do is you.can actually take a picture of the.vending machine which caused.inconvenience when you actually refold.it and let's say for example there's no.value on it what you could do is you can.actually take a picture or video of the.vending machine that caused that issue.with your MetroCard and you could.actually report it to nursery transit.which is available in two Broadway in.Manhattan so there it says new transit.does not provide refunds for lost or.stolen seven-day unlimited or paper riot.fare firms in New York City Metro cards.so over here it says lost or stolen.cards so this is basically something.that was mentioned already in the.previous section so it says near sea.transit reviews the card account and.calculates the refund from the date you.get in contact with them if there are.unused days on the card what near city.transit will do is issue a credit back.to your card to your credit card or.debit card or the EBT card for the full.days remaining so that is definitely.important as well in some circumstances.if you paid with a debit card.what musi transit will do is mail a.check in the amount of the refund to you.at the address where that the program.has it for you so it says you will not.be able to get a refund if you have.previously made two or more reports of.lost or stolen Metro cards that's.another important thing that you guys.also should know so there says you will.not be able to ask for a refund if you.did this already two or more times and.at the end it says a $5 administrative.fee will be deducted from the refund if.a second claim is processed and as we.mentioned in the previous section 1c.report that lost.Chikara it will come in two three weeks.how many times can I replace him we can.only replace your stolen or lost.MetroCard only once for a calendar year.so let's just say for example someone.steals it or loses it.you can only pretty much get that change.only once in one year so this is more of.like a visual point to look at it for.those let's say for example you weren't.that sure about this so it says for pay.per ride near transit will not issue a.refund so for these three paper ride.seven-day on 30 there it says with cash.none will be assessed from newsy transit.for credit and debit so for a paper ride.and seven day they will not issue the.refund for 30-day fare for his MetroCard.there it says energy transit balance.protection program will provide refunds.for 30 days.for those measure cards so it only.applies for 30 days if you got it with.credit or debit cards and fork are.replacements more the same one time only.and then it says after you do that it'll.come back within two weeks well there's.actually two options here so it says one.way to get it is by the middle to the.three weeks which is the manual way and.the other way is at a near city fare.first sight anytime after five business.days from the date you report your.reported lost or stolen so let's just.say for example you reported it you.reported this on February 5th so let's.say once it's for a ten according to.what this says over here that you could.visit one of the offices for this.program and pretty much pick it up so.that's one important thing that you guys.should know okay so this is actually a.really important session for those that.are wondering let's say for example your.actual measure card becomes damaged or.if it stops working so over here in this.question number 23 it gives you a very.good summary about this so there it says.my favors new measure card is not.working what do I do go to the fair.Fresno City office to turn it in so you.got to go all the way to the office of.this program to turn in that damage.measure card.and when you return your damaged.MetroCard this program will give you a.new one so that's very good so I will.definitely like this let's just say for.example unfortunately if one of these.days I hope that doesn't happen anyways.but let's just say I'm just giving us a.scenario right now so if the card stops.working what you should do is go.immediately to the Office of Fair.Affairs New York City tell them that.your MetroCard is damaged and then once.you submit it and what they'll do is.they'll give you a new one.however will they give it to you.instantly or will you have to wait a.couple of days which would be something.if they were to actually mention here.that would have been a good thing if.they were to do it Solaris says you do.not need to take any action to receive a.refund the new transit will conduct a.review to determine the refund amount if.you are eligible to receive a refund and.purchase your pass using a bla bla bla.bla.here's your travel issue a credit back.well this was pretty much mention.already in the previous section so I.don't want to bother with that and over.here says if you have any additional.questions please call I guess what they.meant to say there is do you want one.because I feel like by then putting that.blink I pretty much think they know.already that you should just call 3-1-1.at this point okay so this is more of a.advisory part of the documentation so.I'm not gonna read this part because.it's more of like a thing that you.shouldn't already so there's something.that you guys should know about this.program so there it says by accepting a.fair fair is an usually measured car.that you certify that you are between.the ages of 18 and 64 hour a resident of.New York City not eligible or.participating in a current discount.program and not receiving car fare from.DSS /hre buying and using an FFM you pay.you maybe you maybe buy a paper I.seven-day 30-day on the middle right.pass you may purchase a pass using your.FFM at any major part of any machine or.station booth after you chose to buy a 7.day and 30 you will be asked to pay half.the regular fare charge to the general.public.so this is also another thing that you.guys should look at when it comes down.to this program so there says changes to.your information so we will send notices.and replacements to you at the address.you have on file you are agreeing to.inform the DSS and HRA of any changes.and information provided by you such as.your name address telephone number and.your email address if you are receiving.cash assistance or Supplemental.Nutrition Assistance Program benefits.you can change your mailing address or.contact information on access HRA by.visiting New York City I'm sorry.WWE gov slash access HRA or downloading.the applications to your mobile device.you can also report changes at your job.or snap Center if your case is closed.please call 3-1-1 to report changes to.your information.now here are restrictions and penalties.which is one big important thing to look.at here and we must take this very.carefully especially for those that are.already owning a MetroCard like these.that you see here the FFM this one FFM.USD you are the only one allowed to use.your MetroCard if you let someone else.use it you may be removed for the.program well that is something that I.already went over so I'll basically do.these two parts you must show your FM to.a police officer or transit staff member.if they occurred all right so that's.very important so say for example I mean.I don't know how they would know you.actually have it since this looks.exactly I'm trying to do a better job.here when this MetroCard looks exactly.like this one so I don't understand what.they should have done is because this.actually would have been good a good.idea so since the the colors of this.program is blue and yellow from what I.opposed so for this MetroCard what they.should have done is they should have.just rather divert the colors or.inverted them making this blue and.making the the name of MetroCard a.yellow so that there could be a.difference in the MetroCard so I feel.like.say for example you're trying to refill.your MetroCard and you know it looks.exactly like it looks exactly the same.like how a standard one looks like and.how in the world would a police officer.know that this MetroCard is an F F and.the F F near city one unless what they.obviously will do is tell you to turn it.around and then from there obviously.they wouldn't know since the logo is.there so a better thing that they should.do like for the future if they were to.expand this program is to I mean this is.just my idea you know to divert the.colors because that would be the best.way to distinguish how different measure.car looks like in this case for the fare.for his New York City program you may.not be able to have a refund replacement.if you tampered with it.near City Transit cannot verify the.remaining time on your card you gave.your F of M to another person to use so.this right here guys I don't recommend.anybody to do because if you do that you.aren't in serious trouble so there it.says penalties if you abuse or misuse it.you will receive a warning letter and a.60-day suspension if you commit a second.offence you'll be disqualified from.their program all right so it looks like.this is now the last portion of this.informational video regarding the fares.program so this is nondisclosure DSS /.HRA will not share your information as.part of this Agreement any third parties.accept and usually transit as described.above the SS / HRA may use and disclose.information collected for your.participation and this program to law.enforcement to investigate suspected.instances of fraud so this MetroCard and.its use are subject to all tariff.provisions rules and regulations of New.Jersey Transit and its affiliates please.read and sign these conditions of use.and keep a copy of them for your record.so this is basically saying you know one.day they want to contact you to know.that you're actually the one that owns.this card you will have to pretty much.assign your signature put your name and.date so that you could use it as proofs.and all that you are the actual owner of.the actual MetroCard itself so besides.that.here gives you does more information of.lost or stolen metric cards for this.specific one and then pretty much after.that is just more the same for my pretty.much already went over every single.thing here so once again guys I just.wanted to show you this video talking.about this program so let's just say one.day you guys actually are qualified and.actually get this actual thing you'll.receive a mail looking something like.this so if you get this one this one.pretty much has already not only this.letter showing you the confirmation but.as long as the actual metric card itself.inside this postcard and then once again.in this huge huge mail you will pretty.much give you more of an informational.standpoint of the actual card itself so.this one is definitely important because.everyone should read this once you.actually receive it so that if it gets.to no water both the regulations and.rules regarding this use so with that.guys I end this video thanks for.watching and I hope you guys were.informed by looking at this video.
