[Music].good evening everyone and welcome to.anom cuento.conversations about marriage and family.i am chinka bisinga cermiento and i am.your host.so before we begin with our episode for.this afternoon.let me join you to an opening prayer in.the name of the father and of the son.and of the holy spirit.amen hail mary full of grace the lord is.with you.blessed are you among women and blessed.is the fruit of your womb jesus.holy mary mother of god pray for us.sinners now that they are for death.amen in the name of the father the son.and of the holy spirit.amen i.okay and that is why we also invited the.very interesting guests of a two.to our episode for today our topic is.parenting in the new normal.parents.[Music].their kids being online okay having all.virtual classes.and our guests for this evening are.perfect.to be to uh to ask for this uh this kind.of topic no because they are.very much aware of this.our guests are husband and wife team.he is the educational and educational.technology coordinator okay.in a school in manila and she.is an event specialist and they have two.children who are now learning online.grade level okay with uh.please join me everybody in welcoming.our guests for tonight.uh don and bianca helido hello.good morning good afternoon and good.evening.hello mom she's pumped she's out there.[Music].okay so good morning good afternoon and.good evening.hello yeah.let me get right to it no so see don.as we said kanina is uh working in the.school and is an.education ed tech coordinator.it's a matter of the hour right now yeah.very busy.because of the need oh i know it was a.being man of the hour what what do you.do what do you exactly what do you do.exactly.take it away.[Music].months months before school started.school started for us.for for the the school because uh when.august august but months before mama.right even before the school.everybody was forced into what are we.gonna.do your last quarter was already.yeah yeah yeah the entire list.you witness all of this no um you since.being being there in a para you were the.spectator in all of these things and.then the kids are.also kind of thrust into this.observer.because of this quarantine that was.imposed because of the pandemic.and we can start way back before the.when when ecq was.was uh march so that's.what almost six months almost half a.year now.um of course uh.as any normal uh parent would feel.shamrock initial initial reaction i mean.was panicked.uh no one knew what to do you know.what's this.an important first time for everyone.yeah.i guess for everyone in the world not.only here in the philippines.uh now you're so big.all of a sudden you can't go out you're.on lockdown you don't know where.when you can buy food for your family.where.housing is to go out here so young.initial was.really that of uh fear the bad fear.anxiety.hey like especially when.and then of course that's another and.also another.phase was um conditioning preparing our.kids.yeah yeah okay don and i the way our.family our their.family dynamics work it's we don't know.we don't um.water down things for our kids so.uh if there's something happening in in.the world or.we watch it we watch it in the news on.tv.you know we really talk about it with.them you know.or whatever but of course we have to we.try our best to.bring it down to their level yeah and uh.you know don is very very good with that.since diwali he worked with kids for a.long time with you.in the kids ministry oh before yeah.yeah yeah so he's very good in.in translating.translating it to their bringing it down.to their level.we canceled i know out of town trips.it's not safe.when you explained it to them did you.give it in one go or.or you know slowly.it was gradual because they would they.would their classes would get suspended.so so they would know that uh is this.because of the.the virus.remember there was a virus in china now.it's.it has spread to other parts of the.world and it's here in the philippines.story yeah.it's not just oh.then how to to uh offset you know how to.how to um what do you want that yeah how.to.to make up for what you know what.what they can't do like going.you know we choose uh movies that they.want and then sometimes also.mama when you were this age let's say my.daughter's 11 years old.or my son is eight.oh.youtube.[Laughter].uh i think that's that's a challenge.also for us.especially parents.during meal time discussions.[Music].embarrassing moment in school.[Laughter].used to work together for a kid for a.kid's ministry.so exhausted.you know being uh appealing to the kids.yeah.and i think.event specialist you know yeah.you know like creative and innovative.yeah.because.you know to come up with all of these um.ways how to.talk to them how to entertain them and.the family then how to make.make them feel you know at least also.despite the situation.so you know during the first.month seguro first weeks.so you said nah you you started talking.to them about it you don't want to sugar.coat it.how did you did you see anything about.that.like like how were how were they coping.with it how did how are they reacting to.the situation.but.and then they come up with follow-up.questions.this time around because.they come.[Music].when they invite.uh one thing i noticed also is that you.they look for they.[Music].5th together about march 15th 2031. so.so did.what did president duterte announce.already.there she's more i know he's more aware.of that.current event are we still on ecp or.so what's the announcement what are we.now are we gcp and dc puke and then.that's it's good to know also that.they're uh they're aware of it.and then and then.i how can i forget that the most.important.coping mechanism is of course.prayer.i went easy to start then it gave us.more time to.to pray as a family because before.shampre we would.so in the morning when you when you um.when you wake up you fix their food that.was papa masila with don.and then i'll go to my to my office.amelia regularly but because of this now.we're together 24 7.all kinds of prayers my my my i know.my mask in the morning especially.easy cute.and and for the first time in a long.time they.they attended young uh there's this.online i don't accept your kids.um they read the bible they they study.about the bible you gotta.talk so that's a good um i won't say.coping mechanism because it's really.the the center of of how.we we know how we cope and how we we've.been surviving for the past.five months okay okay.so um but let's backtrack a bit see.um she's a critical thinker segura she.reflects more on what is happening no.um what about your your you said you had.two.aussies.what about him because he being eight.years old.and uh is he more active than camilla.aye super.super and yeah oh he's a boy so i mean.he used to well before before classes.[Music].um.we forgot to say that earlier this year.january.our i know our four of 11 years or 10.years.[Music].and then and then we got this dog it was.given to us.the first time you know uh to have a pet.to have a pet to have a dog in the.family so.another level added level of difficulty.so.very you know it was um but was it good.for them.that they got a pet.responsible foreign she she's been.wanting to have a dog.asking from santa pray to god.so finally made a gift.and they had to give.she stepped up um you know she's become.responsible and that was she she would.you know read about.it google youtube.no according to another.[Music].the proper.can be less older so she thinks more.again.i engage when you do this.[Laughter].[Laughter].um you had to come up with those things.to to divert probably whatever.saving earlier me anxiety generally.everybody's feeling so.um even the kids are feeling that.[Music].so now in this new set up okay and.it's been a few months already changed.the setup.a little bit more about you normally.because the kids oh you're you're at.home 24 7.so.so that's that's another i don't know.that's another adjustment you say before.when.when ecq started uh it was summer.by summer break yeah yeah buying.dynamics.to honor our own.our respective employ employers.because we're fortunate and less enough.to have.very and a very um.caring compassionate compassionate.they really uh went out of their way to.support.the their their employees and i work for.for a bank and i'm a pr.events person there and uh yeah ever.since it started.we we we had a work from home.arrangement.uh until now so um.[Music].and they they provide all the support uh.technical.even emotional and physical.support that we need and we're both.we're both fortunate enough to.to have that position right now uh.the new norm unfortunately you know the.new normal of a lot of.parents now they don't have jobs or.they lost their jobs but they don't know.how long their job their their companies.would be.so it's it's pretty hard um.but we thank god for where.where we were called to work and.okay so in terms of your setup right now.you said everybody's at home 24 7.and then with the kids studying what is.your schedule like what is a normal day.like at home.now yeah.shame school.we're very generous enough to allow us.to work from home called training.doing training from the whole house.champion coming from summer enjoy.i mean what summer you know what.[Applause].[Applause].[Music].[Music].for those who do not understand please.define synchronous.and asynchronous.[Music].[Music].um.yes yes please describe.so okay so we cannot so um i.[Music].so i wake up at six and then i take a.bath and then after i think about i wake.up.[Music].that was gonna go down.they're old enough to bathe themselves.make sure to brush their teeth.[Music].they eat quick breakfast and then by.they have to annoy they have to be to be.logged in online.7 45 7 45 okay that's like their home.room.without before that.night if they need to use the bathroom.that's 7 45.so my my work station is in the other.half of the house.that was this their school their study.station is on the other half.don stays here there's a the second.floor because he has.you know he has trainings and all that.and he has to talk most of the time.so he needs his own uh space.so when i'm.and then when i hear them are you on.break why are you i know.they're singing.[Laughter].yeah what about the non-school part the.asynchronous all right.we're not particular with who gets to do.what.as long as it gets done okay like.cooking.doing the groceries.[Music].here.cause when i cook i cook for a few days.like two or three oolongs.after like a week.now.[Music].[Music].you can just.remember to wipe your feet before going.on mama's bed.that's the evenings usually.[Music].all right so so do you think that um.given you know like almost six months of.being like this half a year yes oh.that was already my mission trip to.half a year.do you think that um given that it's.almost half a year few.being together as a family you know.adjusting.to whatever this new normal is uh.thrusting upon us do you think that um.somehow you've gotten to.um get used to it yeah oh and has it has.there.been a positive.change you know despite.all of this this adjustments.yeah definitely definitely.they they really they grew they matured.uh.young even if you know him be unplanned.nah at this age they they you know they.would know.how to do the things that they're doing.now.because of circumstances they're forced.to to step.up to help out in their own way.i remember one of the things that we.would do what is.uh during during meals we would uh.think okay after after and after the.pandemic and after coving this.is done what do you want to do where do.you want to go it's about.looking forward being hopeful.and and i i believe that that's one.important thing.to instill hope in them that you know.papa jesus is there and he will and he.will know he will.he will uh end all of this and when that.when that time comes.but we can uh go out and travel and.we're gonna.yeah and i think i think that's.important uh for.us as parents in the now normal.normally no no half year not in the now.normal.yeah no it's it's part of it's part of.our life nothing.so do you ask them you ask them about.you know what they what they would like.to do.when this ends.see up wants to see her friends of.course so.i see it.we have a viper called.[Music].[Music].[Music].[Music].i never saw my son gain weight.oh.[Music].and i appreciate it uh you have to look.out for each other.and because that's not there with you.what's the two of you it's just us.nice nice so um i have another question.which i think a lot of parents will.appreciate.um to know your answer to know us.as parents how have you.as parents can say but you've been.thrust into the.to this position where you have to help.your.children cope with their own anxiety.because.at their age they they won't know how to.do that.but for you as parents how have you.personally been coping.in this now normal as you yeah.individually and then in your marriage.as a couple how have you been coping.you cannot give what you do not have so.you help them but how do you help.yourselves how do we feel our.love back yeah pandemic.[Laughter].before all this chaos.we would have our uh weekly dates no.whether it's going to be a movie or.having coffee or having dinner.we would always make time for each other.so as a couple.not only because i remember my dad.my late dad would always tell us that.first and foremost.you are a husband you are a wife before.you are a mom or a dad.you have we have to and apparently we.have to to.make time to find time to have our own.so yeah sometimes the the the kids when.the kids would.be doing their gadgets or watching a.show.or.[Music].[Music].and him.that was that's the time that we we.talked also you were saying.yeah and we you know we update each.other.[Music].yeah because uh uh yeah we were talking.about.you know oh i don't know how it's it's.different.when you're when you're we work we work.from home you know when you're at work i.say when you're physically at work but.you get to talk to your colleagues.what happened in the bank or what.happens to school we we tell each other.because.we know.[Music].and that's important that's important.especially.again during this now.now you ask each other also are you okay.you want someone.you look alone is there something wrong.i cannot be sensitive but then.so basically you you still find time to.talk to each other and to have that in.couple time.regularly despite the physical.presence you're saying.for it no yeah it's so easy to.to be annoyed be caught in the.in the in all the you know the.responsibilities the duties the tasks.that you need to do especially now.it's harder you you have work from home.and then you also have to to.guide your your children uh.online learning some distance learning.nila and then you have your.your i know your your role as um uh.in the house as a mom and a mother.father and husband and wife so.everything rolled into oh what am i.going to do.so i think it's important.there's some some some it might be.enormous.or we're spending so much time.[Music].[Music].and you have to make an effort to do.that you can't just.know because it's harder now to define.the boundaries no of your roles it's.harder now.okay so you do that for for your for.your relationship with one another what.about for yourself.individually do you i mean.uh hundreds of things available online.what have you done for yourself nah that.has helped you cope.um you know you see so many things now.like people are baking people are.planting people are attending.you know retreats or seminars here and.there so what have you been doing.um for yourselves that you have found to.be effective.in your you know coping well.funny that you mentioned that everyone.is.this pandemic has forced people to to.learn new things or new skills or.become bakers or chefs or.uh.[Applause].[Music].[Music].[Laughter].okay and then do you do you attend any.anything online that i know that has.helped you.maybe i don't know because a lot of.uh you see a lot of people in the man.now are taking advantage of.being online available.formation or enrichment.online so those who have not.who never found the time to study for.example before.right now and like they take them on.short courses.have you benefited from anything online.it's.trafficking.a household meetings teachings.and then even i know even we were.invited to.to give talks you know seminars.um even abroad you know people from.people from the states they would.they would invite us when you know.normally.you can't do that.so that's that's a good applause.and i mentioned you're in canada even.the kids are taking advantage of that.setup because.you said that they have this um weekly.bible study yeah you said the community.has a.portion for for kids also for kids.so same.[Applause].lbs.even our spiritual nourishment as a.couple through our household group or.the teachings of the community you also.get it from.online that's that's a another positive.thing.not copy positive.it prepared them for the distance.learning now in school.but we were doing we were doing the.young.young bible study for kids prior to.school starting.so young dynamics of.seeing diva seeing their classmates on.on screen and listening to the teachers.because of online study.okay so that's a good benefit benefit no.um i mean.don would know this as an ed tech.specialist.you know and coordinator um too much.screen time.can also be very uh bad.for the kids and um because they're.all they're always on the internet.sometimes you don't know the me manage.things not necessarily good for them so.how do you protect them from that.from too much screen time and from.negative negative.influences that they can have access to.online how do you kid prove that yeah.child proves the gadgets.well first of all champlain they know.what's a new.morale.technically speaking i make sure that.all their devices are connected to my.device.we share one apple id so whatever they.do.i can see whatever they download.we.there was a time that they were into but.then they followed their cousins.[Music].how do we protect them from too much.screen time.rules you know again one hour.[Music].aside from school aside from school one.hour long because from school.it's like she grows two hours.[Music].when we don't we don't like kill the.internet because i.i hear some of my parents.i think it's more of conditioning than.what bianca would say now if it's.[Music].[Music].memories.so okay last two questions all right.second to the last question.um how do you then keep because this is.uh.are now normal and um we don't know.when this will end oh it's the that's.the.biggest question no we don't know when.it's gonna end so.how do you keep your family safe and.healthy.not just from the threat of corvid 19.but.you know in general in general how do.you.what the what are you.doing in the family to make sure that.you're healthy and safe.so you know i can i can start.monophysically.you know physical health.[Music].i make sure that every day they have.their.vitamin c.three full meals three four meals a day.and then i make sure milk fruits and.then i make sure.that they're not wet.you know young shirts.[Music].or.[Music].oh.to get sick or to have to bring them to.the hospital yeah.so you also bombard them with with.vitamin c.um enough rest food enough rest enough.sleep.healthy mind and spirit yeah spiritual.[Music].them i think you will discover a lot i.mean.i discovered a lot from my kids.face to face yeah like also she's really.into this.she's you know she's like me and we.discovered a lot of psychology.[Music].m.foreign.[Music].[Laughter].reflection.[Music].and what's surprising is what's the next.movie ah.they're motivated.and i'm sure that a lot of parents uh.picked up a lot from from what we.from what you shared with us and um i.think this is also very.very relevant to them because.personally that was with their spouses.all the more with their children and.parenting.parenting today in this now normal as.you said.this is sobrang exponential.level up from before.engaged and i think this is as you said.no this is a blessing.also for all of us now now we are are.placed in this kind of situation because.we get to.to know our kids more and despite the.threat.that this pandemic has brought upon us.there is a an upside to it a bright side.to it.and that is we are given this.opportunity to really enrich our.relationships with one another.so any last.word that you can get a word of advice.that you can give to our parents who are.listening.i'm of course this is we again as you.said kanina.we don't know when this will end so.what do you think um we should remember.most now as parents.[Music].i let my my husband uh say the last word.okay i also asked should we right like.like even if it's yes dear even if it's.yes they're.right no yeah.[Laughter].yeah that's that's right okay when we.were when we were i don't know when we.were discussing what did we want.[Laughter].no matter what what circumstance we're.in no matter what situation we find.ourselves in.at the end of the day we are still.parents whether it's the new normal the.now normal the.then normal or whether it will go back.or not anymore but the the.the important thing is the basic which.is.you know uh love communication.you know those are those are important.um.things important values to have uh.to remember even with with all the.the craziness happening around us.uh if we have that and of course if we.have got separate.if you have that relationship a strong.relationship.with god then i.mean we will know we will pull through.this this two shall pass.okay done at the start.at the end of at the end of it all it's.about our relationship with god and how.we are faithful because we believe that.he will.i know deliver us from from everything.that's happening.you know to message the parents you know.you give a.path to yourself at the back yeah.[Music].now that's right well i'm gonna talk.no amount of of training or or seminars.parenting seminars or whatever that that.you can attend in the past could.have prepared us for this yeah yeah.yeah but what bianca was saying you just.have to learn that.will will bring us we'll bring about.it will it will change it this will.still change then all normal will still.change.but when we focus on the basic of really.loving our children and our family.it will just come out naturally simply.because by god's grace you know.blessing is sad and he will keep us in.amen amen praise the lord hallelujah.thank you.jesus.change is the only constant in the world.i think we would have we should we could.um we were able to at least share to our.parents.how they can continue to cope in this uh.in this in this uh under these.circumstances and how.we can you know support one another as.parents.because uh we nothing could have ever.prepared us for this.for what we are facing now so thank you.once again.before we say goodbye to our.may i invite you to join me in prayer as.we close this episode.in the name of the father and of the son.and of the holy spirit amen.thank you jesus for giving us this time.and for allowing us.to to have our guests done in bianca.and for allowing us to share these.wonderful messages to our fellow parents.especially who.our who are coping in this new normal.father we ask you to give us strength to.empower us to guide us.and to give us discerning mind and.spirit every day.as we face the challenges that lie ahead.continue to help us as parents and.continue to use us as your vessels.of love for our children no matter what.the circumstances are.all of these things father we ask and.pray in your most holy name.amen glory be to the father and to the.son and to the holy spirit.as it was in the beginning is now never.shall be world without an.amen come holy spirit enlighten us by.your grace.strengthen us in the name of the father.and of the son.and of the holy spirit amen so thank you.again don and bianca.again can be singa sermiento i'm a new.host.thank you and see you again next time.[Music].bye.[Music].you.

How can I make it easier for users to fill out a form on mobile apps?

Make it fast. Ask them as few questions as possible (don't collect unnecessary information) and pre-populate as many fields as possible. Don't ask offputting questions where the respondent might have to enter sensitive personal information. If some users see you collecting sensitive information, they might not be ready to share that with you yet based on what you are offering, and they will think twice about completing the form.

Do military members have to pay any fee for leave or fiancee forms?

First off there are no fees for leaves or requests for leave in any branch of the United States military. Second there is no such thing as a fiancée form in the U.S. military. There is however a form for applying for a fiancée visa (K-1 Visa)that is available from the Immigration and Customs Service (Fiancé(e) Visas ) which would be processed by the U.S. State Department at a U.S. Consulate or Embassy overseas. However these fiancée visas are for foreigners wishing to enter the United States for the purpose of marriage and are valid for 90 days. They have nothing to do with the military and are Continue Reading

Why do 16 year olds have to get a parent to fill out a form in order to donate blood?Because a 16 year old is still a minor and blood donation isn't one of the exempt categories of medical care (such as prenatal care, STI testing, contraceptive services, etc.) that they are legally permitted access to without the consent of a guardian. At least this is the case in the United States, and the specific laws vary from state to state. More information on these exemptions can be found at Page on guttmacher.org

How can I fill out Google's intern host matching form to optimize my chances of receiving a match?

I was selected for a summer internship 2016. I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join. I even was very open in the location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience). Do a search on the potential team. Before the interviews, try to find smart question that you are Continue Reading

What rights does a father have in Missouri?

In Texas, you get to choose where you live the moment you turn 18. In the meantime, you dad can file to ask that you live with him but your case will go back to the judge that heard it previously. Unless something has changed, I doubt that a Texas judge will give a person with mental health issues primary custody of a child. As a child, you can tell the judge where you want to live but it is NOT binding on a judge.

What happens if a parent doesn't follow the parenting plan?

In this case the child would be a Japanese citizen automatically until they turn 20. They may also be able to claim other citizenship based on the flag country of the airplane they were born on, but if they do they may be deemed to have forfeited their Japanese citizenship. In more detail Japan's nationality laws are based on the "jus sanguinis" principle, so the baby is going to be considered a Japanese national at birth by virtue of the mother's nationality. Japan does not generally recognize dual citizenship, so when the child reaches adulthood, between the age of 20 and 22 if they have also Continue Reading
